The 12th International Hellenic Geographical Society Conference is scheduled for November 1 - 4, 2019.
Conference Registration Fee Includes:
• Ice-breaker reception
• Access to plenary sessions, exhibits, and break-out paper sessions
• Conference program
• Publication in Conference Proceedings
• Coffee/tea/lunch breaks
• Field trip (one)
• Conference dinner
Submitting an abstract to the conference means that in case of acceptance, at least one author will fully register for the conference in order for the paper to be included in the programme. All accepted and timely submitted papers of registered authors will be included in the conference proceedings. Moreover, extended versions of selected papers will be considered for possible publication in a special issue of the European Journal of Geography.
Participation in workshops and tutorials requires the payment of an additional fee. Registrants are responsible for their own accommodation and meals.
Late Registration Surcharge
A late surcharge will be added to your registration fee if you opt to register after September 27, 2019. We strongly discourage you from registering in person at the conference venue. The late fee also applies to students. The surcharge helps defray costs for walk-in registration services at the conference.
Fees for ordinary registrations (by September 27th 2019) are the following :
▪ Students and PhD candidates: 50 Euros
▪ Postdocs: 80 Euros
▪ Others, including faculty: 200 Euros
Fees for late registrations (after September 27th 2019) are the following:
▪ Students and PhD candidates: 75 Euros
▪ Postdocs: 120 Euros
▪ Others, including faculty: 300 Euros
All Helenic Geographical Society Members are entitled to a 50% discount on the above fees.

Accessing the HGS Website
To register for the conference and/or submit an abstract or session you must first login to the HGS website. When you reach the login page, you will be asked to click on a link and enter your e-mail address (username) so we can check if you are already in our database. You should be ready to proceed if you already have an account and remember your password. If you have forgotten your username/password, you can request that your username/password combination be e-mailed to you to use to login. If you are not in our database, you will need to register for a free HGS user account and then you will be able to register for the conference and submit an abstract. Obtaining Receipts for Payments
Receipts may be accessed in the User Account Area at any time for payments that you have made. Please use this facility whenever you wish to verify your registration status or need to print out a receipt for a travel reimbursement claim and/or your records.
